"Being a native of Cave Creek, I chose to study at some of the best cosmetology schools our state had to offer! I completed the Cosmetology Program at Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy and the Cosmetology Instructor Program at Avalon School of Cosmetology. I received a 'Postgraduate Instructor Certification' from Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, specializing in geometric and precision haircutting. My training at these institutions has given me the ability to fulfill each of my guest's individual styling desires, as well as speak to the importance of continued education within this ever-changing industry.
I am proud to be part of a team of women who have pioneered health, wellness, and sustainability in the beauty industry. Upon opening our flagship store in 2016, my best-friend / business partner and I discovered how much "green-washing" takes place in our beloved industry. From that moment forward, we vowed to cultivate a work environment that would encompass all of the things we have always wanted out of our workplace; organic, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and cruelty-free products, a sustainable zero-waste trash situation, a clean-air environment, carbon-neutral energy usage, and lots (lotssss) of plants!
We have collectively been so lucky to grow our little crunchy hippie salon idea into the largest upscale organic salon in the State of Arizona. We could not have done that without the support of our clients and our community! We love ya'll!"

"I started in the beauty industry in 2006 as the Receptionist at my aunt’s salon. On my first day, I was totally hooked. This shouldn’t have come as a surprise since as a child I was notorious for cutting and Kool-aiding not only my own hair but also my siblings, Cabbage Patch dolls and Barbie dolls. That led to beauty school and eventually my first stylist job where I fell in love with being behind the chair—but also got involved with got involved with avant-garde magazine shoots, local fashion shows, and competed in ‘Hair Wars Las Vegas’ for Bravo TV.
Then it was off to New York where I trained with celebrity stylists and colorists in the worlds of salon, film, fashion, and television. This amazing experience refined my eye and taught me how to create a personalized style for each and every client.
It was an invaluable two years, but I was born and raised in The Valley of the Sun so naturally, I came back to my roots (pun intended).
When I began working at Honeycomb Organic Hair Studio in 2010, organic color and styling truly became my passion. I am now an educator for Organic Colour Systems, teaching stylists the science of 'The System' and sharing my love for the company. Organic Hair Lab is the realization of a dream; co-owning a salon in the neighborhood I grew up in, a salon I co-created to be clean, green, organic, and earth (and people) friendly, while giving back to local charities and our community. I feel like one of the luckiest people by getting to do a job I absolutely love!"

"My mom has been doing nails my entire life... I basically took my first steps in a salon! Growing up, I was always obsessed with watching her create beautiful nails and watching other stylists work with their clients. I loved the idea of working in a salon, so I enrolled in cosmetology school at EVIT a few years after I graduated high school. It was a long 2 years trying to complete school and get my license in the middle of a pandemic! BUT, I made it through and I am so excited to be part of the Organic Hair Lab team! We have created such an amazing community; every day I get to give people the opportunity to see how beautiful they are, while also doing my part in keeping the earth clean. Cosmetology truly is my passion! I'm thankful to be here doing what I love every day!"
